Rachelle Elie
has been making people laugh since she was five years old! She failed grade eight which was a loser move BUT she convinced her best friend to fail with her and they weren’t even in the same grade. Now that takes talent! A graduate of Bishop’s University and Vancouver's Studio 58, Rachelle has been studying and performing comedy for over twenty years. She won an Outstanding Comedy Award at The Ottawa Fringe for JOE: The Perfect Man and was recently nominated for a JFL Comedy FRANKIE Award & Montreal Clown Festival AWARD at The Montreal St Amboise Fringe Festival. Elie is also producer of Toronto’s longest running Cabaret The Rag Bag Cabaret. She recently moved to Ottawa after living in Toronto for twenty years and is comedienne in residence for the Alterna Savings CRACK UP Festival. She performs comedy all over Canada, did SheDot festival,Women In Comedy Festival in Boston and is hosting this year’s Women Of Comedy for Crack Up. Clown and stand-up comedy continue to challenge and inspire her.
