A decomposing lecture-performance on the connections between clowns and compost, featuring a court jester who would rather be a rotting vegetable…
Description
With visceral physicality, striking costumes, and sharp, absurd humour, Tatarsky blurs the line between the grotesque and the poetic. Acclaimed at MoMA PS1, Dirt Trip offers a funny yet profound reflection on what society rejects—trash, the poor, clowns, compost—and delves into our collective fear of decay and death, providing a clownish perspective on the exhaustion of the modern world. A unique show, at once hilarious and unsettling, it opens a rare dialogue between art, politics, and human absurdity.
