MTL Clowns – NOMINATIONS TO THE BOARD

At this time we are seeking professionals in Communications, business, finance, fundraising and organization strategy with previous Board experience to apply.

REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a minimum 2-year commitment to join a group of engaged Board of Directors. We are seeking:

Time Commitment: Board meetings are generally held every 2-3 months (lasting 2 hours). Committees meet in between and require between 2-4 hours of commitment per month.

New members of the Board of Directors are expected to: 

•  Know about the Montreal Clown Festival before oining the board 
•  Be aligned with MTL Clown’s core values and committed to its vision and mission 
•  Be invested in the growth of the board 
•  Work with the full Board of Directors to provide proper governance and oversight to the organization
• Attend at least 4 out of 6 yearly meetings (2 hours every 2 months), as well as the AGM.

Le Festival des Clowns de Montreal – Gala Cabaret 2026

This call is open to professionals in the categories of clown, comedy, physical theatre, and eccentric performers. We are programming cabaret acts for our 2026 Gala Cabaret for our 9th festival edition.
Date of performance: Friday, April 10, 2026

APPLICATIONS FOR GALA CABARET TO OPEN OCTOBER 2025

We encourage applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities and welcome performances across various genres, including eccentric and physical acts of all kinds. Submissions can be French, English, bilingual, or non-verbal. To ensure accessibility, we also offer assistance with the application process upon request. We also offer a sliding scale option if you cannot pay the application fee.

We are seeking high-calibre cabaret acts that elevate clowning to the level of fine artistic excellence. We aim to feature artists whose unique and exceptional performances captivate and inspire, as determined by our committee.
